What is a ShredTag and other FAQ

What is a ShredTag? How does it work? Do I need a phone? All your questions answered!

What is a ShredTag?
- It is a 2 part plastic enclosure designed to contain and hold an Apple AirTag that mounts to a snowboard using 2 existing bolt holes.

How does it work?
- The Apple AirTag inside of the ShredTag is connected to your iPhone via the Find My app. An AirTag emits a Bluetooth signal that privately and securely connects to any device in the Find My network and then its location is triangulated by its connections and sent back to your iPhone.

Do I need a phone?
-Yes, specifically an iPhone 11 or newer.

I shred hard through the glades and hit the terrain park often, will the ShredTag take the beating?
- Of course! Shredding is in the name! This product was overbuilt for it's purpose. We have tested this product thoroughly, but as always we honor our warranty no questions asked!

How water resistant is the ShredTag?
- The ShredTag is incredibly water resistant, it also features a rubber gasket to prevent water from getting to the AirTag when installed. The AirTags themselves have an IP67 water resistance rating, which means they can withstand being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes, in the event water does get to the AirTag.

What is this thing made of? How does freezing temperatures affect it?
- The ShredTag is 3D printed from ASA plastic. ASA can withstand freezing temperatures down to -20°F.

Where is this product made?
- Michigan, USA

Super Shred Security, can you tell me more about this?
- Super Shred Security is an upgraded hardware option for mounting the ShredTag to your board. It uses a unique hex-like shape as opposed to a traditional hex shape. This deters thieves further by making the ShredTag difficult to remove, because you have the key! Imagine like a wheel lock for your wheels on your car, but for the ShredTag!
